Description

Slumped on a changing-room bench, a muscular rugby player tugs at his sock, his shorts and legs still spattered with mud. A rugby ball rests beside him, kit is strewn across the floor, and cool violet light falls through a high window.

Blue-grey and lilac tones give the scene a hushed, end-of-the-day mood: exhaustion, pride and a quiet confidence. It is a painterly study of the male form after the game.

Perfect for: Bedrooms, home gyms, dressing rooms and sporty gallery walls; a bold gift for sports fans and lovers of male figure art.
