Description

In a dim, peeling training room stencilled 'Property of Athletic Club 1937', a dark-haired man lifts a pair of dumbbells to his chest. A radiator, a wooden bench and an old leather medicine ball sit in the shadows beside a tall window.

Muted olive, slate and soft violet tones give the painting a moody, nostalgic atmosphere, as if a single moment from a forgotten sporting era has been preserved.

The stencilled 'Athletic Club 1937' sign gives this dumbbell lift a nostalgic glimpse of a forgotten sporting era.

Perfect for: Bedrooms, home gyms, dressing rooms and sporty gallery walls; a bold gift for sports fans and lovers of male figure art.
